DESCRIPTION:Explore Toronto’s architectural\, historical\, cultural and socially significant buildings for free during the Doors Open weekend. This year’s theme is hidden histories. Uncover untold stories from across the city through a variety of open house experiences\, engaging tours and insightful talks.  \n  \n \nAbout the Weston Masonic Temple\nVisitors will be welcomed by a Member volunteer and have an opportunity to participate in a self-guided tour or join a guided tour conducted by one of the lodge historians. In the banquet hall\, the centre will also be hosting the Weston Historical Society who will be displaying historical items and providing information on the rich history of the Weston community. \nThis is one of the few remaining Masonic buildings still in operation in the city of Toronto. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the erection of this historic building in the Weston Village in 2024. The anchor tenant is Humber Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons\, which was instituted in 1874\, will also be celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. \nThe facility has gone through recent renovations a few years ago\, as well as some exterior improvements taking place this year. The Masons have a long history in the Weston community and have participated in Doors Open in past years. \nWe are excited to participate once again this year. The main lodge room is steeped in the history of the area with many furnishings\, photos and other items that date back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. \nShare your Doors Open experience using #DOT24.
