On Our History: 1936 Father-Son Night

Framed apron and article from 1936 Father-Son Night.

As part of Humber Lodge’s 150 Anniversary taking place in 2024, we will be sharing excerpts from historical documents and photos from the archives.

Last year a few Members were cleaning out Humber Lodge’s Regalia Room, and stumbled upon a rare artifact from the Lodge’s history — an apron from a Humber Lodge Father and Son Night which took place in January of 1936.  What a find!  We did some additional digging into the Weston Newspaper Archives (Thank you to the Weston Historical Society for granting us access) and found the newspaper article below from January 31, 1936.

A special thank you goes out to R.W. Brother Andrew Turk for taking the time to get this mini apron framed, along with the article.  Now this memory is proudly hanging inside the Weston Masonic Temple for all to enjoy.
