This magnificent historic edifice was built in 1924 and has been in continuous operation since then. It is special for a great number of reasons not the least of which is that it is the one of the oldest Masonic Temples in Toronto that is still in operation and it remains under the ownership of a Masonic Lodge.

The Temple is a very special place for a large and diverse group of people and organizations.  The building is also used for charity purposes like toy, clothing and food drives, community events and special meetings.

On the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Weston Masonic Temple, we are undertaking an ambitious 10 year fundraising campaign to address essential maintenance and capital projects that have been identified as high priority.

The Weston 100 Fundraising Campaign

The Weston Masonic Temple 100 Fundraising Campaign (Weston 100) is a fundraising initiative that supports necessary building repair projects, as well as rehabilitation and renovation plans put into place for the future of the Masonic Temple for the 21st-century and beyond.

Since opening in 1924, hundreds of thousands of Members and visitors have come to the Weston Masonic Temple, located in the heart of the Weston community. The building has had internal improvements and renovations following a fire in 2017, but is still in great need of ongoing repairs, revitalization and attention.

In addition to the preservation of the building and all its Masonic artifacts, we also would like to see it transformed into a gathering place for the next 100 years both Masons and the general public.

Our Essential Projects Include:

  • Conservation & Restoration
  • Financing capital projects (i.e. new roofing)

  • Improvements to fencing, gates and exterior structural work

  • Accessibility and Safety Improvements

  • Landscaping and Beautification of our street facing spaces

  • Structural Modernization through the construction of a new entrance

  • Maintenance Endowment

Once completed, these projects will improve the Weston Masonic Temple’s overall structure and appearance, make it safer and more accessible to Masons and the general public, preserving its deep history and heritage in the Weston community.  It will be in this building where future Masons will discover and deepen their commitment to Freemasonry and our fraternity finds its face for the Toronto of the 21st century.

It is a time for action. Necessary work must be done to the Temple in order to ensure the preservation of our Masonic history and the promotion of Freemasonry to future generations.

Weston 100 is a fundraising campaign of the Weston Masonic Temple Association Limited, which is a non-profit corporation recognized in the province of Ontario.
